Hiddenbed Mexico: the metamorphosis of the rustic furniture
With more than 122 million inhabitants, Mexico is one of the most powerful countries in Latin America. His main city, Mexico D.F. is the third city most populated in the world with 20.1 million after Tokyo and Delhi. Than means a perfect market for products that ensure livestyle comfort and smart solutions for every kind of home.
For a decade Mexico had been fighting for catching up to modern through design, and the adoption of new technologies and materials is finally leaving behind some thoughts of rustic as the best way of having a long lasting furniture. Nowadays, Mexico is a seedbed for innovative projects from designers and interioristas, that had started changing the furniture industry at national level.
Here is where we started talking with our distributor Sergio Zylbersztejn from iFurniture in Mexico, an entrepreneur of uruguayan nationality with a great vision of the furniture market. He contacted us five years ago, searching a way of «offering to the public extra space in a lower price than the cost per square meter», and today is one of our principal collaborators.
«To include new things is very important for keeping the business alive and the public acceptance in this case was incredible», for that reason, iFurniture decided to gradually incorporate every single one of our products in the market place.
Among the most successful models from Hiddenbed in Mexico stands: University, Double Decker and Splendid double. In addition, there is a special design that competes with those, a full packaged model for Home Center, ready to assemble at home and as our distributor explains «it owes it’s success for achieving the ideal price for the market» . He also has a strong interest to offer his designs with lower prices, including them on a mortgage, for example.
Finally, Sergio wanted to add a special comment «Hiddenbed´s been by far our best supplier, they have not only supported us but also been always at disposal for helping us to be better, a good example that uruguayans are vanguardists».
